Managing Partner / Head of Investment Division 1, STIC Investments
Mr. Daniel Kyung Hyung Lee is a Managing Partner at STIC Investments. Mr. Lee leads STIC’s Investment Division 1, which focuses on mid-cap growth capital transactions in Asia region. He joined STIC in May 2006, and his primary role is managing the Asian growth capital fund investment as a representative manager. Notable deals in which Mr. Lee was actively involved and that he managed include Golfzon, MDS Technology, Kona-i, Hy-Lok Korea, Orion Technology. Mr. Lee was given the “Man of Merit” award by the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology in 2010 in recognition of his role in promoting the commercialization of advanced technologies in Korea.
Prior to joining STIC, he worked as a Senior Manager at KTB Network, a Korean private equity firm, for three years. Earlier in his career, Mr. Lee was a Senior Researcher at the Korea Information Society Development Institute (KISDI), a government-sponsored research institute for the IT industry in Korea.
Mr. Lee holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and an MBA from Yonsei University. He also studied at the London Business School as an exchange student and participated in the Entrepreneurship in the IT Industry Program at Stanford University, U.S.A. Mr. Lee is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
